About

I’m Ellie. I’m a roller-skater, acrobat, hula hooper, traveller, teacher, researcher, cat-mom, gardener, lover-of-of-the-outdoors, glittery, purple and blue.

I’m also someone who sufferers from enduring mental illness – I have spent many years struggling with an eating disorder, PTSD and carried the label of Borderline Personality Disorder for many years. I now have had these last 2 removed and replaced with Complex-PTSD which fits how I experience the world much better. Living under these umbrellas has shaped and affected every aspect of my life.

Although I am still very much on that long and complicated road to the mythical destination known as “recovery” my outlook is very different to how it has been previously. I believe everything happens for a reason and one of my reasons is to educate and help other people understand mental illness and to help them understand how they can help others on their journey.
